Sexual offences in Northern states of India

The sexual acts are on due to the attitude of marad which is pet petusted by the families in North. These acts will reduce if we can educate the families. The society starts at home. The parents should be educated that girl child and boys are the same. And they should respect each other's space. Secondly the Hindi movies have taught that girls chedna is great and the Bollywood did it over 60 years. The Bollywood has to be advised by the film certification board and others to stop this. Learn from Malayalam and some South Indian films. Thirdly in the schools the boys should be advised in moral science classes that this chedoing the girls is not fun and stop it. Let there be a class on the dealing with each other's in the school from 9 to 12 standard. And in the first yrear of collage. more

Mr. Devaguptapu where we all agree that sexual offenses is heinous and should not exist it is wrong to say that it happens only in Northern states of India, it is prevalent in every part of India and I say that because I have lived in about 17 states of India till now and am currently residing in Bangalore and have seen several instances with my own two eyes, harassment of women as well as eve teasing is equally prevalent in every part of India and because women are afraid to come out and report such misbehavior it escalates into what we are seeing today. I feel the biggest reason from my point of view is not the people who commit these crimes but us as a society who will never see a victim of such abuses with the same respect and that is what prevents victims to come out and report, the number of crimes in terms of sexual offenses are probably 1 out of 100 which get reported and then out of that only a very small percentage gets reported in the mainstream media. Second biggest reason as you correctly mentioned is lack of good parenting, moral education and the dominant male society where a man swindling with multiple women is considered a role model where as the same is not true for a women who is just hanging out or is seen being friends with multiple men. Main stream media like movies and tv shows are also a major factor, but you have to also understand that movies and tv shows are a reflection of the community. If you are the one producing a movie with a soul purpose of making money you want more and more people to watch it, and if your target audience prefers to watch sleazy and sexually arousing movies that is what you produce and none of the movie sectors take all 4 directions of our country it is the same. Movie making is a business and will continue to be the same it is the general public who should chose what to watch and what not to watch, if you do not watch a movie with such content they will not be made because then they will not generate revenue and I can see a clear trend in not only regional movies but bollywood movies as well where there is a better focus on making content driven and message driven movies instead of sexually provocative. movies more
