Shame on Indian Railways Decision - "Book your tatkal tickets fast: 50% of quota to be sold on dynamic pricing"

"Book your tatkal tickets fast: 50% of quota to be sold on dynamic pricing" This means now be ready to spend 5000 rupees plus for a 3tier AC tickets which cost 1500 Rupees actually

Who Buys tatkal tickets?? Its the needy people who needs to travel anywy to a reach to a destination. Its like you are charging more from people who really cant afford to pay even the Tatkal quota charges. Railways should think on this and reverse their decision.
Not all foreign policy can fit INDIAN Need. This should not be the right way to generate the revenue of Indian Railways. more

I agree that dynamic pricing is pinching but there is no solution to it. People used to pay much more to agents in case of emergency travels. Also this practice is is all flight tickets. This is in response to Mr S Ghosh. Also some one has raised a question of preparing regular resvn list, as lot of quota's for resnv are released at that time rail has to cancel waitlisted tickets in last hours only. Pl tell any constructive solutions to these. One such solution is to limit free pass limits to employees, and more check on TTEs. more
I had booked tickets for my children Pune to New Delhi 2 months in advance. I got a wait listed ticket (87). My children were supposed to leave on 25th October as he had his exams the following week. I was proved wrong when the wait list moved upto 19 and stopped. I was stranded as travelling was so expensive for that week. I could not afford the premium trains. What is the solution for getting confirmed ticket, how can we know before hand more
The suggestion of Shri.Bala K is worth trying. more
This policy is a half baked foreign policy. Over there it is like the ticket charges progressively increase over time. If you buy it 2 months in advance then it is less, then 1.5 months slightly more, a month still higher, at the time of travel it is highest. But there are trains to accomodate even the last minute passenger. In our system there are no trains to accomodate all the passengers, but they are trying it half heartedly. Will the public agree for a progressive increase in fares as in foreign countries, rather than one time dynamic pricing in the last minute? more
OR OPEN THE BOOKING MORE THAN SIX MONTHS AND THEN PROVIDE TATKAL TICKET IN THE PREMIUM RATE more
