Lockdown is well supported but how many days it can continue? Any one has any assessment on it? As we are experiencing in last three days there is a big jump in no. of infected persons and expected to rise further. Can we afford to continue to stay in house for long? There is an availability of selected items only in local market and it may also not be available for long in absence of smooth movement as well as industries are mostly non functional. Instead of total lock down, restricted movement may be imposed after 14th April. That may bring a big relief among the people. Harvesting season and simultaneously agricultural activites will start by June. Lockdown for long will make unstable everything. more

The Lock down of 21 days due to Covid-19, should be extended to at least 49 days. This is absolutely necessary to control the virus from becoming community transmission. So far Modi Govt. has taken good steps, though being a massive country our challenges are massive. We should not repeat the mistakes done by USA and European countries. Despite massive wealth and medical resources and amenities, they are unable to control the mass transmission of the disease. As a result they are facing dire consequences. Modi Govt. should strictly impose complete lock down of at least 49 days and then review the situation. The lock down may be lifted partly in the selective areas. The rising temperatures in May will be helpful in weakening the virus. Indian medicine Hydroxichloroquin, the medicine for Arthritis and joint pains has been found effective in sick patients. It has some side effects and needs to be taken under medical supervision. more

Lock down has helped a lot and probably extension of 2 weeks will help a lot to be winner. Districts or towns which are safe till 14th can be relaxed with local movements only. Gradually extending to where the things are under control. So far necessities are easily available and same may be contd. Special trains free should be started to help to workers to come back. All airlines once opened must be restricted to charge reasonable fairs not based on demand and supply for min 2-4 wks to let students or professional be back to their locations. more

The opening of lock down should start from Villages- where Harvesting season is on and Industries in far flung areas/industrial towns, then it should move to small towns and finally to big towns/cities/metros in phases First Commercial and industrial establishments, then colleges and related study centers etc for students over 18 and the to schools and junior tuition centers etc more

From where will the industry gets its labour force? special transportation would have to be arranged to get them back either from their villages or from the shelter homes, where they have been quarantined. more
