Totally disagree. Not sure how this 60% formula has come up. Majority of fees goes in paying teachers' salaries. Any reduction in fees will directly impact salary payout of teachers who are already one of the most underpaid professionals. Much of the rest of fees goes in maintenance We are qualified professionals/ businessmen earning sufficiently and it is our responsibility to take care of this holy institution in such times. We should not kill this institution by such thinking but uphold this beautiful institution which is building future of our children. more
Dear Vivek I disagree with you on paying school fee. Majority of the parents are salaried and repaying bank loans. The schools are minting money for the past several years and unlike Delhi, there are no such strict laws curbing schools to refund of excess fee charged to the parents. Every year hike in the school fee is un justified and it should be made compulsory for every school to submit quarterly income and expense report and till then they are stopped legally to ask for school fee. In the present situation when everyone is adopting work from home culture, and schools have started online classes, the burden on the schools have drastically reduced. The maintenance have come down and most of the schools have stopped paying to the temporary staff. Till the lock down is lifted by the Government, the schools must continue paying the salaries to the teachers from the interests incurred from many years from CAUTION MONEY deposits. The Management and the Principals to take 50% or less salaries during this period. In my opinion, the schools to adopt 4 days school with 1 day online classes and 2 days holidays. This way the transportation burden will also be reduced from the parents and reduced fee to be charges. THE SCHOOLS MUST START WORKING ON NO PROFIT NO LOSS principle. The future is there. I agree that that majority of our teachers especially primary school teachers are highly underpaid . These PS teachers should be paid more than our civil servants as they make good citizens for our country as in France or Germany and really intelligent , dedicated persons will join teaching. Unfortunately your profession will tell you that the majority of private schools are teaching shops for making money and they provide learning but not wholesome education. more
of course they r underpaid..Stay home and start classes as distance education.Think of childern.Teaching is not a profession it is an opportunity tp transforms lives which is a great service to the humankind.Do not think of money always. more
