Shortage of cash in GGN is 400 crores
What is the plan to fill this. Are particular bank atms working better than others? We have tried ICICI HDFC at 2 locations, spent 3 hrs total, still no cash. more

One of the plans is to hope people like us, with smart phones and debit cards and online banking will use cashless transactions as far as possible resorting to cash only when absolutely necessary. There are so many convenient wallets out there. Even the local shops are accepting PayTM these days. I have had to withdraw cash only twice in the past 20 days for our entire family, used mostly for auto rides (that can also be avoided with ola money) and paying domestic help etc. Reducing our dependence on cash till Dec 31 as much as possible more

Reach the bank in the morning say 0900, join a short queue, generally cash comes around 1030 am. Happy hunting. more

I found cash in HDFC as well as ICICI branch where I have my accounts in Gurgaon. It seems some people are just trying to spread rumours and create panic. more

STILL NO CASH AT ANY OF THE HDFC Banks as well as all major banks in Gurgaon. Just returned from many of them and the state is identical.(19.11.2016 @ 1.53p.m.) more

You can exchange cash at any bank branch once per branch till 30th Dec. It is better you go to the bank at odd hours like around lunch time and on week days to avoid rush. more
