Should the AOA members face arrest for lift negligence?
Paras Tiera noida aoa members are in jail for negligence in the he case of a lady’s death in a lift.
If the lift company was doing maintenance and given contract and they were negligent then the lift company MD or maintenance incharge should be under arrest
If however the aoa was maintaining the lift then the society maintenance head should be under arrest and if there isnt one only then it is a question of arrest of aoa president.

Even if maintenance is done by agency, AOA should have resonsibility of making sure that quaality of work provided by the agency is good, agency is performing maintenance activities at the defined frequency, approving investment with delays required to replace any parts etc. AOA can't be absolved from the responsibility just because it has outsourced to agency. For society members, is the AOA who is in charge of all society matters. more

Arrest should be of the agency that does the maintenance work. Unless investigation shows that the society's maintenance head was responsible for the neglect. more

Accident & Incident can happen even with the new lift (remote chance but possibility cannot be ignored). Resident using the lift inappropriately can also cause accident. Electronic parts are there which controls the lift mechanism and then which translate to Mechanical. At all time Company maintenance team and society maintenance team should be held responsible. Saying this if resident playing with buttons, this can also harm the lift mechanism. more
