Shut all duty free shops

Commerce ministry has recommended restricting purchase of tax-free alcohol to one bottle at duty-free shops as part of steps to reduce import of non-essential goods.

I suggest shut all duty free shops at airport period. We sell sin goods and junk there anyways.

Only problem is many of the Govt officers get their booze from their. What happens now? more

All the freebees must stop specially announced by politicians for their electorate gains. Most of the political parties do not work for the development of the countries and befool the public on freebees and win elections. more
Please understand that people who bring liquor or cigarettes into the country purchase them in the duty free shops at the origin airport. Closing down our duty free shops is not going to help. more
If duty free shops are closed at our international airports alone, this will certainly act in a negative way as a large number of international tourists may lose their interests in visiting this country and are diverted to other nations where this facility exists, causing loss of billions of foreign exchange to the nation. Hence, this does not appear to be practical for our government for the present. more
Surprised!! Is Govt of India running out of 'Foreign Currency' even with $460 Billion held by "RBI". Govt firstly should stop Giving "FREE DOLES' to everyone in 'BPL' and so called 'BPL' families. INDAIN Govt is creating / raising "Free Living POPULATION' in India. Today the situation in country side is that "Such FREE DOLE People are refusing to work, have lost dignity of work and Govt is still bent upon to Create Bigger population Looking for " More and More FREE DOLES" from Govt which is bent upon these leeches and legion of "FRE BHIKARIS". Govt is Basically Bribing such Illeterate / Semi Literate People Which today Constitute 60 to 65% Population in India who Contribute "BIG ZERO" BUT WANT TO FEED ON LIMITED RESOURCES AND EAT OUT OF HAND OF VARIOUS STATE GOVTS AND CENT GOVT. CAN INDIA AFFORD SUCH A 'HUGE' CONTINUOUS DRAIN ON TAX PAYERS (LESS THAN 5% POPULATION) AND OTHER TAXES SNATCHED FROM ABOUT LESS THAN 15% POPULATION OF INDIA?? Ponder on Serious Implication of 'Such FREE Dole Population' on progress of INDIA????? more
The above free is including the free given to all MLA, MLC and MPs, I suppose. more
