In case you suspect something: Call 100 or 1090 at once and give as many detail as possible about the suspicious person, object or the vehicle and keep an eye on these while giving information to the police.

If you are a car dealer:
Satisfy yourself about the antecedents of both parties, particularly the buyer, before finalizing the deal and more so if the buyer is from outside Delhi.
Insist on their identification documents; photocopies of which should be retained by you.
Be careful while organizing a deal particularly involving Ambassador Cars and Motorcycles as they are most likely to be used by terrorists.
If you are a landlord or a property dealer:
Do not let out your premises without satisfying yourself about the antecedents of the tenant.
If you own a Guest House, Lodge or a Hotel
Insist on Identification documents before booking a room for the guest.
Call 100 or report to the nearest police station about any suspicious guest. more

Just an idea for Delhi Police to create a website where Car dealer can send relevant documents of buyer as well as seller and get it authenticated online. This way transaction of selling any vehicle will be secured and smooth business for Dealers also. Will also help to trace the misuse of vehicles for any terrorist activity. more

No doubt, where there is right there are duties of every citizen. But Delhi Police should also change their behaviour towards the public. Delhi Police must inculcate habit of positivity and then should deal with the laymen. Delhi Police only help the influential people due to their ulterior motive. Poor men is always sufferer. However, I agree with the tips of the Delhi Police and public must come forward with the tips and help fighting terrorism. Ram Yadav more

Throwing the ball in other's net will not help. Yes, it'd our responsibility to help the police; at the same time, it's the JOB of police to help us - whenever, wherever & however needed - our tax paid provide their salaries. If any of us is neglected by the police, call the complaint no. immediately, put an e-mail to complaint cell as soon as possible and represent the police post / thana in a group to get recourse. Most of the police personnel are just as good human beings like you and me, it's just for a few buggers, the whole police force gets a bad face. Together we can stop nearly all crimes in cities. more

The local police does not help in registering the FIR when I was cheated by duplicate company. I had given my application for filing a FIR at Bindapur, Uttam Nagar police station in March 2015 but till date no progress has been made and FIR has not been registered. When spoke to IO of the complain he says "ye to koi case hi nahi banta" although the original company is with me to nab such cheating people. more
