sincere thanks

This is to express my sincere thanks to concerned persons in Indian Railways or Railway Board who monitor the "Local Circles" feedback. I had drawn the attention to the inordinate delay in issuing the photo ID towards concessional certificate on 7th July'16 night at this forum and to my surprise I received a call from Divisional Commercial Manager's office, ER Sealdah on 8th July'16 afternoon informing that ID card is ready and can be collected on 11th July. ( 9th and 10th being holidays) .

I collected the ID card today . However would like to state the followings which may kindly be considered :
1. When concession certificate is valid for whole life , being the nature of disability of permanent in nature , the ID is valid for 5 years. Kindly consider whether ID validity could be made for whole life or same as the validity of the concession certificate.
2. I find that the ID had been issued unfortunately with back date ( 31.05.2016 and I have reasons to believe). Now with nearly 12 months to issue the ID card and by back dating effectively reducing the utility period less than 4 yrs 11 months, the apathy towards differently abled people could not be concealed. I am afraid the renewal efficiency may not be different than this. Though I travel a lot accompanied by escort , but so far I never utilised my Handicapped concession certificate issued nearly three and a half years back, However I sincerely feel differently abled people still deserve a more sympathetic treatment in formulating policy, rules and its implementation.

I once again express my gratitude to our PM NaMo and his team to work towards more peoples friendly interactive models like "local circles" to improve quality of life of people of INDIA. more

Good thing that our feedback is considered by the concerned railway authorities! more
Let us all decide to not to offer any bribes to any Railway employee here onwards and in case of demand, report the same on this forum. This will be a step , though small, towards controlling corruption. more
Train No. 11453 Ahmedabad Nagpur Prerana Express dtd. 10th July 2016 was diverted but there was no information about this train on NTES. Only status shown was Train left Udhna on 11th Morning. Call on 139 was not picked up. There was no informaiton available about the running status of the said train. The status of the train must have been updated so that one is aware of its location. more
