Single out any food ads with young children

I rarely appreciate any of the Good work that happens in these circles but today i am happy that the circles have taken up the cause of junk foods and children being presented with ads of such foods. Be it nutella or pediasure such ads are common.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/children-advertising-survey

The localcircles survey is right fully demanding govt to come with a rule where kids under 16 are never used to sell a junk food or packaged food product!

If any company is found doing so the company must be liable to deposit 10 crores in consumer welfare fund

If the penalty is such no one will attempt to use kids in junk food ads… more

We just keep pushing government control of private things. You are asking tax payer money to be spent and a new governing body to become food police. What a braindead idea is that? more
yes banning is ideal but for a start statutory warnings in big letters should be mentioned on the package and also given wide coverage in media similar to tobacco and alcohol etc more
You should not push to ban things and get government involved. We want to have government doing things that privately we can not do. This is a very bad idea with good intentions. Since when we don't trust our selves to take care of the young? Are we as a society need all mighty government to tell us what to eat and not to eat?? That is called socialism. more
Manuel Aaron: First of all, what is junk food? If any food is classified as harmful, why not ban it straightaway? The assumption is that it is ok for advertisers to target those who are no longer 'kids' for selling their dangerous food. I think that it is not correct to broadly classify whatever you cannot cook at home as junk. Some authority should come out clearly classifying what is junk and what is non-junk, instead of leaving it to moms and dads who have their own personal, unjustified fears. more
