Small businesses getting GST notices

Reportedly, pani-puri vendors are also getting GST notices based on RazorPay/Phonepe transactions, asking them to comply.

If you are a small business owner running an informal set-up accepting payments on UPI apps then, please comply. Attached

I really hope the middle class is taxed less and all such entities who evade taxes or dont pay taxes are made to pay. more

UPI is a sneaky trick pulled by the government, although taxing such revenue may be an afterthought to get more money from small businesses. Why not let such people grow and educate their children to make our country better in the future, instead of cutting off their income. more
There are many pani-puri vendors across the country whose monthly turnover is in lakhs of rupees but do not pay a single penny as tax. There are many vendors in other sectors as well whose income is much more than the average income of a p0erson belong to the so-called middle or upper-middle classes but are not burdened with any tax liability. Such people need to be identified and bring in tax regime. more
The aim behind the encouraging digital payments was reduce cash transactions and thereby reduce Tax Evasion. So if this objective is achieved why should any one object? In both GST and I.T, the taxes are to be paid depending on turnover and Net Income. Hence those hawkers whose turnover is below the taxable limits, they need not object just because their turn over is monitored through the digitals receipts into their Bank Accpounts. more
First, the govt. got everyone hooked to UPI, and has now come for its pound of flesh (taxes). If they start paying GST, they will promptly increase the prices being charged to you and me more
