Smoking in Trains should be stopped

There is no action taken by the railways to stop the people smoking in trains & platforms. The passive smoking is affecting others but the smokers didnot bother. Everyone has right to breathe smoke free air. more

Does the smoking ban in public places including Railways does not apply to Railways? more
An appeal to Railway minister and Railway officials- I am proud to say that ours is the best service but however , with my association as a passenger for more than three decades,i have observed that agents corner most of the reserved seats plus agents getting open tickets very easily and sell it to passengers is a common sight in almost all stations. put an end to this and help the ordinary commuters to get an opportunity to get tickets. I am confident that with our new Prime Minister and his ministerial colleagues , a definite solution will come . THERE ARE TRAINS WHERE PASSENGERS TRAVEL IN BATHROOM AND BY TYING BED SHEETS AND SITTING ON IT. Ernakulam - Gauhati express will vouch for this. Please consider them as HUMANS. SPENDING IN THE FORM OF RENOVATION OF PLATFORM BY FREQUENTLY REPLACING MARBLES, VERIFIED TILES ETC IS WHAT I HAVE SEEN , BUT ,NOT AMENITIES TO PASSENGERS. DEAR MINISTER SIR, PLEASE CONCENTRATE ON THIS . I HAVE HIGH FAITH IN YOU. Meanwhile, i take this opportunity to congratulate the Railway unions for their continued labour friendly approach simultaneously concentrating on passenger safety and amenities HATS OF TO YOU G.PANDURANGAN . thiethiercontinued M . more
The announcements on the railway station is to be done at regular intervals. I think the best option is to provide licence to few daily passengers (who are non smokers) travelling in the train to do challans of these smokers inside the train. They will do the challans for their own benefit and the goverment dont have to employ them. more
And is also a fire risk. more
