So now at the end Railways wakes up

Says mask is mandatory in trains and on station otherwise 500 ka challan katega. Attached circular.

I think India Railways coaches must be deployed now in all impacted areas to serve as Covid wards. more

We have to get active in this circle after a long lay off . No passenger trains/ restricted numbers had really reduced the usual complaints of Hygeine, TTE platying a roll our of turn, late running etc. That has gone to the background , hope it is for the time being only as the Main Focus countrywide is How to contain the fast spreading Pandemic. At least now can't the Rail authorities concentrate their work force to MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS HAPPEN. more
In 06630 malabar special there is a coach named DL2, only 20 seats are there but from kollam to TVM there will be around 50 passengers at a time every day with or without any conformed ticket. Very crowded compartment in this pandemic time.Nobody taking care. more
It is good that Railway is insisting for weaaring of mask more
everybody have the mask but they are not wearing the same properly inside the train and not keeping the social distancing also. more
My views may appear weird and politically incorrect. In earlier days there were constant battles, diseases and other national calamities like floods and droughts which controlled the population growth. Even the medical science was not so advanced and life expectancy was average. All this has changed over the years and though there are floods and droughts, it is easier and faster to provide aids to the respective areas resulting in a population explosion. The covid 19, is playing a havoc. Although many theories have sprung up, there is no concrete evidence to prove any of it correct. This situation should be considered as a blessing in disguise. People should be made aware of the disease and the precautions to be taken. However beyond this not much need to be done. If people do not want to protect themselves, the government should not be unduly worried over it and allow nature to take its course. more
Self-discipline in following Covid-19 protocol is the need of the hour, irrespective of what others do. Cooperation of every citizen counts. in controlling the pandemic. Govt should ensure ramping up the health infrastructure and also prevent black-marketing of critical drugs and medicines. more
