SOCIAL MEDIA AND LOCAL GROUPS
I think there is a need for creating and activating ward-wise local residents' groups and creating a people participation in governance. Each MPs, MLAs, Ward members should be asked to create a local group to assess the requirements of local development and make concrete suggestions to the government with detailed estimates. It is necessary the elected representative to work in their constituencies instead of sitting in parliament and assemblies. Presently, none of the elected representatives study and prepare a detailed estimates of the development of their areas. Developments should not be concentrated in some areas. it should be widespread and aimed at a need based living of the people. Social media also a very good way for communicating to a large number of people who are conversant with the internet. more

nail on the head Rajappan ji and others. I was pleased to hear that every MP will be asked to take an area/village in their constituency and make it a model one. Connecting residents in constituency is first step of strengthing the foundation and harnessing capability. more

Believe BJP's Communication cell has started this for 11 constituencies of Delhi and said MPS will be invited once 1000 citizens are there in each circle. I agree next step should be assembly and ward level circle. It can make things transparent like never before. more
