Soft Hindi imposition

I dont know where exactly to post this, hence posting here.
I was recently got my Income tax returns from BLR. When I filed the returns I noticed off late there is lot of hindi imposition in most of the central government services. It is being done rather softly then doing it the hard way by passing the law or so. All the documents are first given in hindi and then english. I am not against Hindi, I learnt hindi in my school, I like it as language and I watch a quite bit of movies in Hindi. With my school friends I still speak Hindi.
But
Why are other languages ignored? they are Indian languages too. why equal importance is not given by Central government.
If I filed in Bengaluru, shouldnt the filing also be in Kannada along with other languages ?
How is Hindi better than any other language of India.
Why is the government hell bent on imposing Hindi.

I know there is no proper answer/ solution for anything. Nothing will change.
But this is a rant about what I dont like about BJP.
This is will be one of reason I wont vote for BJP. more

I fully agree with what Hemanth Kumar is stating. @Sudarshan Arya: please stop imposing Hindi and stop this rant of Nationalism and patriotism on each and every thing. Note that it is not because of Hindi that India has been able to earn a place globally to some extent; one of the reasons is because we have a large population of English proficient people. Just because some big guys in the country cannot converse in English, it cannot be a reason for forcing Hindi upon others. And by the way, get this misconception out of your Head that Hindi is national language - infact it is people like you who spread wrong information. While I also watch Hindi movies and listen to Hindi songs, do not force people unnecessarily for the language. more
there must be a common language to unite the citizens of india, can u suggest any other indian language which can replace hindi, except us all the citizens from any part of the world are proud of there national language. is it not true that every person from whichever part in india is teaching hindi to their children . more
My point being it should not be imposed. There are other ways to unite than at the cost of other regional language.
India has no national language

I dont think everyon is teaching Hindi to their childeren. more
It is no longer soft. Nowadays, many callers don't even ask and start talking in Hindi. more
I agree that there should be an option for the language more
You are absolutely right. I also have this feeling of soft imposition! I am surprised that even the customer service executives of private companies start off in Hindi. I am not sure whether there is some kind of unofficial coercion on corporates! I consider my Hindi to be very good and have absolutely no problem when visiting Hindi speaking regions. But I hate it if someone forces it on me while in my home state. more
