Some Concrete solution for railway corruption.
I traveled from Moradabad to Ambala on 13.10.2014 by train No.13255 PPTA Express, on the platform I asked to the TT about the seat in 2nd A/c he allotted me seat no. 16 in A-1. After starting of train, he came told me give me Rs. 700/- for ticket I paid then he told o.k. I will give you receipt just now after checking. After that he neither turned up nor give me receipt. A system should be started by which railway authorities should know about vacant seat during the running train to provide the reservation from concerned station instead of asking TT for seat. more

There may be need for the system to integrate main database with handheld devices allotted to TTE's, so that vacant berths are updated on the main database, Communication system is not so good still as to keep the hand held devices of TTE's connected to servers. more

The system is in place, Mr. Saxena, but on a very limited trains. Do not know what is the impediment in extending it to all trains. Let's hope this facility of online information about vacant seats / berths in trains is extended soon more
