Some facts about Delhi Govt performance
During 2015-16:-
1) GDP Growth in Delhi- 8.34% (National-7.6%)
2) Inflation in Delhi- 4.9% ( in Chennai-7.8%, In Mumbai-7.4%, National-5.7%)
3) 17% increase in VAT Collection (Last Year-2.64%)
4) 31% Increase in Excise Collection (Last year-8.06%)
5) 21% increase in Stamp Duty (Last Year- 4.3% negative growth)
6) 33.5% increase Luxary tax collection and 71% increase in Entertainment tax collection
7a) 5.57 Lac new Ration Card holders through e-ration card during 2015-16
7b) 2400 FPS to be euipped with Bio-metric within 6 months.
8) Card holders to chose any FPS for ration.
9) 21 new schools ready (equivalent to 42 schools on double shift)
10) 8000 new classes in advance stage of construction (equivalent to 400 schools on double shift) to be functional from July 2016.
11) 2 ITI opened.
12) Green Boards (replacing old black boards) and drinking water provided in all govt schools
13) Recruitment process of 5500 teachers at last stage.
14) Triple IIT agreed to double seat capacity.
15) Education Budget 23% of total budget (Centre provided just 3.7%)
16) All medicines available free of cost in all govt hospitals. immediate complaint for any shortage.
17) 100 Mohalla clinics to start immediately on rented buildings. Plan for 1000 during 16-17.
18) 22 Polyclinics already operational. Plan for 150 during 16-17
19) 217 colonies connected with pipe line in 15-16 (plan for 300 more in 16-17)
20) 1.30 lac new water connections during 15-16.
21) 20 Cr collected by waiving of disputed bill having exhorbitant wrong water billing.
22) Electricity theft restricted to 0.15%
23) VAT reduced from 12.5% to 5% on Battery run vehicles, Sweets, Garments and marble. Decisively this will increase VAT revenue.
24) Multi slab of VAT on various items rationalized with single rate only. more
