Many of you have been actively discussing the subject of air quality and participated in the recent survey. 80% of households in Delhi have atleast 1 or more individuals that are suffering with cough, cold, sore throat, burning eyes or respiratory problems since the air quality deteriorated significantly over last 1 week. Below is the link to the survey.80 pct households already have someone suffering with pollution related ailment.Chances are unless people create awareness about this actively, nothing will happen. Who is Happy ? I think that it is a state of helplessness . Many north Indian cities are having AQI as bad or close to Delhi both + and -. People find something to console themselves with " Chalta Hai attitude" . They believe that they are immune to it. While it is a kind of silent killer and the number of cancer cases as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease will rise steadily and we shall all starve for Oxygen. more
