Some ways to avoid mouth odor

Bad odor from Gum Infection: If severe take treatment else boil turmeric powder with salt cool till warm and gargle two or three times daily. Continuing care - After partaking of any food -using soft baby tooth brush lightly brush teeth -up and down for the inner and outer sides of teeth and back and forth for the surfaces of the molars. Gently rub the gums all round outside and inside and wash. Similarly clean after taking sweet things too.
Bad odor from Indigestion: Tongue will look coated white too. If severe take treatment with digestive aids -ayurvedic available. Continuing care -take water boiled with dried ginger / lightly roasted ajwain / cumin / both ajwain and cumin / coriander seeds half an hour before and half an hour after meals. Chewing roasted saunf / dhania also helps. Chew down a little raw ginger with a little salt. If indigestion due to killing of good bacteria in the stomach replace bacteria. Allopathic medicines available. Or take dilute buttermilk with a little ginger / lavang (cloves) / curry leaves / etc added before and after meals.
Bad odor from Liver / Kidney failure / acid reflux / diabetes: Take treatment for the condition. Wash mouth often taking care to puff cheeks out and in so that the water is thoroughly agitated in the mouth. Putting one small seed of Fennel (saunf) / cardamum (elaichi) in the mouth can give a fresher smell too.
For general health related to all aspects of digestion: Ardhamatsyendrasana very helpful. Suryanamaskara can help. In the case of asanas -start and proceed gently. Do only to the extend that one can without any strain. If any severe health problem is already present consult with a doctor and proceed only very very slowly and gently.
Always be aware of what food habits and exercise habits are good for oneself and live accordingly. Eat only very light food for dinner avoiding fried things. more

Regular use of Yogurt (yoghurt, or yoghourt or curd ) would definitley help in eliminating bad breath (also known as Halitosis). Just give it a try and feel the difference. more

Mouth freshners and tooth pastes must be carefully chosen as they may contain serious health damaging chemicals like triclosan and more.......reliable herbal concoctions are the best bet more
