some

Mr. Prabhu and his team are making sincere efforts to streamline the workings of Indian Railways. They have concentrated many areas neglected by his predecessors and introducing many new systems which will not only increase earning for railways but also will be passenger friendly. Will Mr. Prabhu kindly consider the below suggestions(also expressed by some of the esteemed members of this circle?
1. Providing maximum number of lower berths for senior citizens in all classes.
2. Increasing vigilance in all long distance trains so that unauthorised travel in reserved coaches is eradicated.
3. Curtailing unauthorised hawkers in moving trains.
4. Entry and forced exhortion of money by transgenders in all long distance trains.
5. Cleanliness of toilets in sleeper, 3rdAC and 2nd AC coaches is still far from desired level. Can this be looked into.
6. Quality and quantity of food supplied by IRCTC and contractors is far below the standard in all classes. The number of items and quality and quantity of food has gone down even in 1st AC classes of Rajdhani/Duranto trains, particularly between Howrah/Sealdah-New Delhi and return. Can this be improved? Pl compare with the list of articles and quantity served just two years back and you will find the difference.
7. There are no toilets in Kolkata Metro stations. There are toilets for staff members but travellers are not allowed to use it. Can Pay and Use toilets be introduced?
8. Electronic display boards at least in a multiple locations on platforms showing coach numbers, reservation status and vaccant berths. This can further be augmented with electronic/led display boards on coaches eliminating use of paper charts.
9. A display board in every coach of long distance trains showing the name of the Train superintendent, TTE, RPF/GRP security in charge of that coach with mobile numbers.

The above are few of the many valuable suggestions posted by esteemed members of this circle. Many more are there and I am sure Mr. Prabhu and his team are seriously reviewing those.

warm regards,
shankar sinha more

Thanks to Railway Ministry in advance for considering the above points more
Mr Prabhu has done a good thing that he has not introduced any new train in the earlier budget but subsequently he has introduced a no of premium trains just to generate more revenue. If there was no capacity available at that time how it has been available for the premium trains. The railway has earlier announced to revise the tariff on the basis of price of fuel but they have forgotten it when the prices of Fuel is reduced substantially. The refund rules are changed without considering the ground realities. There are no. Of passengers comming from long/short distances to catch a train for long journey. When you will confirm the reservation on last moments I. e. 30 min. Before journey, how a passenger will plan his journey. This may be considered as if a person comming from Kanker to Raipur to catch a train. more
GOOD JOB KEEP IT UP WE ARE PROUD OF OUR RAILWAY MINISTER AND RAILWAYS . more
The Railway Minister is doing only gimmiks by showing as if he is passengers friendly whereas allhis actions are anti-travellers. He is introducing heavy charges and penalty or cancellation charges to mint money. No body in the BJP ministry is trying to pass the lowest crude oil price benefits to the public. Henve the central ministry has to cut down the expenditures, plug the corruption / bribes being collected and charge the passengers only reasonably more
all govt quotas should be scrapped, so those seats are available for public, not just relatives & friends of govt officials more
