Sony is Fooling Indians

Hello All,

I would like to share with all that how Sony is fooling Indians, i have purchased a Sony Xperia Z1 phone on 28th july 2015 of Rs 17,598/- which is termed as a waterproof phone by Sony and is under warranty as i hardly used it for 4 months, i used the phone properly without causing any damage to the phone, recently i wished to click some pictures underwater as my phone was waterproof and hardly clicked some pictures underwater, and the phone worked for like 3 hrs after that and never started, i approached Sony service center and submitted the phone for repair, i got a reply from them that the phone is in liquid damage condition and warranty doesn't apply for the same, and if i want to repair the phone i have to bear the charges, i agreed to bear the charges and asked them to quote me the repairing charges, they have sent me a quotation of Rs 22,582/- to repair a phone which i have purchased of Rs 17,598/-
Surely they think we Indians are fool,
Related documents are attached, like the phone bill and the email which i got from Sony,
Can someone advise what can i do now to get my rights more

Thanks mr Rashid for your valuable feedback. I was planning for one from sony. They are big cheat. Will never buy their product seeing the height of nonsense and injustice by them. more
Issue them a Regd. post notice and after 15 days please refer to consumer court. more
First go thru the warranty terms about the waterproof parts covered. We as a consumer dont go thru all the terms and just believe the brand. Its our fault. All brands do the same.Keep fighting..... Start tweeting and FB with the head (Sony Waterproof A Big Cheat) and tag as many plus the company officials and CEO Sony India,Taiwan,China,Japan. Tagging Japan will definitely fetch you results. more
