Specific inputs on 2 hours of cleanliness

Dear Friends,

The checklist for How to collectively clean your Neighborhood and Workplace is already published and attached.

We had requested specific inputs on How to best spend the 2 hours every week (1 hour at neighborhood and 1 hour at workplace) on cleanliness. However the inputs received so far are not specific enough.

Kindly share specific inputs on how you are spending these 2 hours or plan to spend with the identification of detailed steps/actions.

We hope that the output of this post will serve as a hands on check list that everyone can use at Workplace and Neighborhood during the 2 cleanliness hours every week.

We look forward to your inputs!

Wanted to Add: The Swachh Bharat Abhiyann will also benefit from if the ownership of cleanness is pushed to every society/apartments(level). And reward those who have succeeded. Punish them who are not.. may be additional property tax on society. more
B4 embarking on clean drive, the govt needs to do - 1. Provide cleaning tools insectised to be sprayed (Like chlorine powders, disinfectant sprayers, mosquito repellant sprayers, reptiles, pig, dog catchers, rat killers, gloves, breathing masks etc., to volunteers. 2. Local bodies to provide trolley, vehicles, garbage lifters etc. 3. Each area shld be formed into a functional groups to carry out on a long term. 4. Local bodies shld instal garbage bins painted differently for bio degradable, plastic or other wastes. 6.Bill boards shld be erected everywhere, particularly near Bins both in caricature n vernacular language to promote co-operative actions. 5. This is a good programme n shld go on n on eternally. The above will induce even the passer-by to remove garbage from public place n deposit in the bin My co+operation is unlimited for the success. All da best. more
Common areas like toilets, urinals, wash basins, dining tables, train and bus seats etc have to be kept clean by everyone, immediately after use. One cannot expect a cleaning staff available for 24 hours at all places - even hospitals and fast food restaurants find it difficult. more
