SPEED OF BOOKING IN RAILWAYS RESERVATION SYSTEMS

Experience of a passenger on reservation is really logical. Circle can discuss its way out as well as Railway authority may think of the problem. Routes which are very busy are having this problem.
Actually on line reservation on IRCTC site continues after midnight. So at 8.00am one can have such a huge W.L. Process of bidding on tickets at such routes at night booking may be put on higher rates so the people who are generally can wait for a day or two can step down for booking in next morning.
Also, speed is a factor. This may be looked to generate tickets on booking quickly so that next passenger can have access.

AK GHOSH more

Whatever be the reason the problem still persists. It is known fact that even if you book a ticket more than a month ahead you can hardly get a confirmed ticket. There can be only one reason for this, i.e., commuters are more than the running trains can occupy. So the only solution is increase the number of trains in such routes and for this we need more tracks to be laid. As such this is to be the top priority item in this year's Railway Budget. more
what rubbish arguments are these...people please be sensible and stick to real problems and solutions... 1. For two month advance booking...one can book tickets only from 8 AM even in railway website...so there is no way one can book tickets at 12A through website 2. Indian watches are set according our time zone which is the Allahabad time,so no whether you are in Guwahati or Mumbai you are aligned to Allahabad time more
this is bcoz of gst time is differ in mumbai and guwahati about 1min and 12 sec, so it is possible that when ticket booked at guwahati at 8.00a.m, the same time mumbai is 8.01a.m and 12 sec. more
