Spurious goods poll
The below poll by local circles is very timely. Just recently the Drug Controller has issued notices to ecommerce sites about selling spurious cosmetics. The drug inspectors/controllers apparently raided many of the warehouses and found many goods which included imported brands without valid documents and containing ingredients in the "negative list" of the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).

The companies have to respond within 10 days failing which there will be penal action. ecommerce must not promote spurious goods. more

In my view. the customers are also to be blamed for FAKE & SPURIOUS quality of material. Most of the working class people wants everything at their Doorstep.To provide such product by the e-commerce companies, they feed the customer's need by HOOK or CROOK. more

Firstly, why import of food items, drugs and cosmetics is allowed without import license? The importer must submit the list with samples and other documents of the products they wish to import and only after due tests and trial import should be allowed with all rules applicable as it is with indegenous ones more
