Standardization of Potable Water

I am drawing this from discussion in the Food circle about lack of any standards being followed for drinking water by municipalities. I dont know all the bodies that have a role here but its very important that we talk about all the carcinogenic and deadly contaminants that can possibly exist in water that comes home and then with help of govt bodies here on local circles and looking at what developed countries do come up with a list of X no. of chemicals that water must be tested for by every municipality across the country. fssai or consumer dept should publish standards and all municipality should tell residents where do they stand after testing so at the very least people are aware whats coming.

We are spending tons of money eating out and talking about service charge but this issues could lead to a health crisis in the country and we must attend to it.
