Education services in India – Some issues identified by Citizens
1.There are no standards that schools need to follow to charge fee
2.Quality of education standards in government schools is not at par with the private schools
3.There are inadequate facilities in many schools, especially Government schools
4.There are not enough colleges to accommodate the number of students who seek admission every year
5.Teacher quality in many schools and colleges is not up to the mark
6.Some schools and colleges ask for huge donations at the time of admissions
7.Many deserving candidates don’t get admissions as admission processes are not transparent
8.The option for students to choose courses which match their aptitudes is very limited
9.Many courses and curriculum content is not relevant to industry
10.Majority of the courses are theoretical with the practical aspect missing
11.Fees structure of good private colleges is very steep that middle class cannot afford
12.Set metrics must be defined for all educational institutes and mandatory publishing of the same required on their websites
13.Non-qualified people open tuition centers and mislead students
14.Many training institutes show false rosy pictures to aspirants to get them to take admission. more
