Standards for Ice
In India 99% of ice used by vendors is very unhygienic, has faecal matter in many cases and leads to lot of people falling ill. Used in all road side drinks, juice, milkshake, water stands.
Can fssai please make it mandatory to only use packaged ice. I am sure if thats done many players will get in this trade and prices will become very affordable. This is an industry in most countries.

A first step in this direction could be for FSSAI to specify that ice is to be made by using filtered water only. more

Dear All, I thick that FSSAI should be define first the Standard for ICE and then should monitored on the local basis and as per packing is concern to that it may increase cost of the ICE in the market. As one of person says that in small City or village, FSSAI should be visited in ICE FACTORY on regular basis and I definitely say this type of habit is change In FSSAI standard, it should be mantion that how to make ICE and also which is water should be used during production more

Good point, need to be considered. As i chart with local vendor, They are not following any standard. In the same time they also argue it will increase cost. more
