Standards for Medical Devices need to involve public feedback
BIS please make sure if you make any standards for medical devices in India, you take inputs of patients, doctors and experts.
You do not have enough people on your rolls for such specialised industries and you should not copy and paste standards from foreign countries (thats what a lot of the foreign companies may want)
I request localcircles manager and consumer affairs to ensure that people are consulted before standards are made.

In India, all standards/parameters/specs to restricted to files only for all consumables and durables. Due to non-accountability and corruption, no regulator checks/tests the products at retail end what to talk about manufacturing stage. Sub standard/spurious/fake prodcuts are sold with impunity. There is need to resurrect all regulators to end this serious criminal menace. more
