Standards for Taxi Services in COVID-19
Why is health ministry or bis or transport ministry not considering bringing mandatory standards for taxi services during covid-19 pandemic.
This will ensure all taxis are safe and generate confidence among consumers to take them. I keep hearing stories of taxi drivers not able to pay their Car EMI and defaulting and uber ola not helping them.
If a mandatory "taxi service SOP during pandemic" is brought in and only those compliant are listed on the apps it can make things better for industry and drivers. more

All these issues Clearly indicates that we have increased our liabilities over the period of time and we do not have any Cushion. more

Like all other sectors, let the government also extend financial help for Taxi services. After all they are victims of COVID and facing financial crunch. more

How Uber/Ola is expected to help taxis is not understood. Taxis and app cabs are at opposite ends of competition. Quality of service and operations in taxis will mostly depend on the owners and drivers willing to offer standard services. However government shall refix tariff depending on CLI and other factors from time to time. more

Consumers in India by and large, go for cheap things. How is it possible to maintain a standard because that will comes at a price? more
