Start point to point fully reserved class specific passenger trains

I will request Railway to think of starting passenger trains either during lockdown or after lockdown in following modes:
1. Initially the trains should be run only from point to point like Duranto with no stopage at any station;
2. These Trains should be fully reserved no ladies or handicapped or unreserved coaches;
3. Important stations should eb handed over to Army and only persons travelling should be allowed from the distance of at least half kilometre from Railway Station;
4. The initial trains should be class specific; ie one train only for senior cityzens, others for ladies only and so on so that crowd can be controlled.

Have anyone imagined what will the situation once trains are allowed to run first time after lockdown, at stations, during journey and at deboarding station. Just imagine and take precautions before starting passenger trains or as usual start trains without planning and thereafter see broken trains, injured passengers, lost belongings, violence and so on. Railway should avoid major law and order problems as our secualr goons and traitors are always awating for such opportunities. more

Impracticable suggestions. What should be the government's priority at a time when the entire world is fighting against the dreaded Covid19 and our nation is till now fighting it back successfully? Better not to be in a hurry for amisadventure by riding a train while fighting for life. more
I have seen some videos of Isolation Compartments on WApp. Seems Railways are proactive. However a feedback / suggestions from passengers who travel frequently may add to their wisdom. I haven't experienced this on Duranto, but travelling from Howrah to Nagpur by Geetanjali the 2nd AC was flooded with passengers from intermidiate stations. More over the TTE was alloting mostly the Upper Berths to groups (2 - 3 climbing up on each). They were well behaved and decent though. Even trains like Duranto need to have a few stoppages, and there may be many people at these intermediate stations equally desparate to travel as people from terminal stations. They may be more capable of putting pressure on Railway staff including TTEs. Such matters must also be considered. If really adequate distancing is to be mentained only 3 passengers can travel in each coupe, whether it is Sleeper, AC 3T or 2T or 1st class. Even in flights two passengers or may be three at be accommodated in 2 rows of 3. So in all the cases occupancy has to be cut to 33%. Less than 50% for sure. more
No doubt Railway Ministry or Board shall plan and chalk modalities of starting function of Railways, but there is no harm in giving suggestions that come to your mind. Railway authorities should give a thought to public views and then accept or modify or reject the suggestion as deemed fit. Main point is Railway authorities, while planning should involve State Govt.s executives and give sufficient advance notice to State Govt.s to prepare themselves for effect on their functions when Railways start functioning. Planning should start now if not already started. The Post by Shri SUBHASH PARAKH is very timely. RYK. more
IR and Railway Board members feel NO ONE is better than them. So to prove this point they should be allowed to manage and run the show. Since they have large No of 'RPF' personals and Cent Govt can provide CAPF - RAF, CRPF and BSF Troops - to assist IR. Though Some suggestion for planning move of civilians can be given for consideration :- (1). Initially with most of Big and MSME Industries not likely to operate at full capacity due to various restriction to prevent resurrection of Corono - 19. (2). So top Priority for move of migrants workers who are willing to go back to their Native towns / cities State wise. (3). Town City wise Migrants to be segregated by / with help of State deptt and police, proper register and records be prepared state, town, cities wise and each individual be issued Identity Cards, Medical check be conducted of each and everyone and certificate issued, placed in camp under proper guard and moved to railway station on date of planned move. (4). All such Group of migrants with full medical support, under proper guard to be moved directly without stoppage to fixed cities / towns and handed over to State Govt officials for further move / disposal. Once the migrants are moved then 'IR' can plan to move passengers but under similar strict conditions till likely effect of disease is fully under control and Govt feel that all restrictions can be withdrawn. Indian Public has to be repeatedly warned of these restriction of travel which should on all means of travel by own cars, taxi, bus services and airlines. State and Cent Govt will have to continue monitoring the crisis situation for at least One Year and take all steps to control. prevent and provide full medical care to public till Health Ministry can give all under control advice. more
Railways are fully aware of problems which may arise as soon as Lock Down is lifted and trains movement allowed. Let us leave it to the wisdom of Railways to face the situation and find solution. more
