Start Up India : Expectations

Below are some of your initial inputs on the Start-Up India initiative by the PM. Kindly review them and specifically share what you expect from the initiative. We look forward to your inputs:

1. This initiative should solve a number of common issues that start-ups have
2. It should create national and local city level frameworks that act as a one stop help for all information/registration/clearance for the start ups
3. This initiative should enable entrepeneurs to easily report inefficiencies and corruption and make the whole business ecosystem more effective
4. It should help in removing poverty to a great extent in urban and semi urban areas by creating lots of jobs
5. It should encourage people to innovate and start their own business
6. It should help people to easily get feedback on how they should go about building a business in their sector and their market
7. It should enable start-ups to easily find partners, vendors, initial pilot customers etc.
8. It should touch and enable the grassroot entrepreneur and not just the startups that need millions of dollars of funding.
9. It should make access to funding and loans much easier and faster than where we currently are.
10. It should enable start ups with protection mechanism against bad business practices by private and Government organizations like payment delays or defaults. more

There is no dreath of entrepreneurship in the country at all levels. What is lacking is the financial support. Any manufacturing attempt needs money. The banks as well as the financial and funding agencies do not have mechanisms to promote such entrepreneurship. One of the major funding to implement new ideas in the US comes from Small business innovative research (SBIR) is supported by NASA, Defense, and other major agencies. To provide direction for this the agencies list out broad requirements. More than all this there is need for the evaluation and implementation process including the accounting procedures. It takes for ever to review the proposals, the accounts departments take their own sweet time to process and dole out the funds. In case of the DST and other agencies that support University research the accounts and administrative procedures totally demoralize the the investigators who toil to provide the ideas in the proposals and their implementation. The British legacy of mistrust continues. These factors need to be addressed if the 'Startup India and Stand Up India" Get rid of the complex accounting agencies and let the PIs get what they need in shortest possible time and implement the projects as they plan and desire. more
FIRST WE MUST BRING TRANSPERANCY IN GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES. ALL CONNECTED WITH GOVERNMENT INCLUDES LEGISLATORS MUST BE KEPT TRANSPERANCY IN THEIR DOING. THE PEOPLE ELECTED THE LEGISLATORS AND APPOINT STAFFS TO RUN THE GOVERNMENT BECOS.' ALL CAN'T BE A KING AND MINISTER ALL MUST UNDERSTAND THEY ARE ACCOUNTABLE, ANSWERABLE TO THE INDIAN CITIZENS. IF EVERY CITIZEN MUST ACT AS A RESPONISIBLE PERSON IT IS EASY TO ELEVATE INDIA IN THE TOP OF THE WORLD. ONE MAN CAN'T DO ANYTHING. ALL MUST PUT THIER HANDS IN A COOPERATIVE MANNER TO PUSH INDIA TO A BIGGER HEIGHT. IN TURN IT WILL HELP CITIZEN TO LEAD A PEACEFUL AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE. more
Young entrepreneurs lose interest after finding that plethora of agencies for registration of new venture, taxation etc.. There must be a common place where entrepreneurs should go to fill up forms meeting all requirements and copies of forms should be sent to all concerned for doing needful. There must be a time limit for registration with all deptts.. It is simply unfortunate that even deptt like customs demand original documents like PANCARD, IEC ,VAT registration form etc. Don't understand meaning of Digital India if originals have to be submitted to a deptt. like customs. It is nothing but harrassment as they can't dare to demand bribe. more
