State Controllers
State Controllers of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir are active in our circle, setting good example. Why are other states behind in connecting with consumers? I live in Noida but have never seen UP Controller answer queries or acknowledge common issues. Can Consumer Affairs ask all controllers and inspectors to join our MRP Weight Measure circles. more

Ms. Sanjana , you have been bringing vital issues of interest in the in the W&M Circle . Noida , N.C.R. is some thing special . The people using the services of the shops and hotels face the worst situation as we see a lot of complaints that goes unattended . The Hotels and Restaurants challenge the customers when confronted with M.R.P.Rules . The common complaint is that no authority / controller acknowledges it . IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL TO CONFRONT THE WEIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTMENT . MY SUGGESTION IS THAT THE LOCAL CIRCLE COMPILE ALL THE SUGGESTIONS AND COMPLAINTS AND PASS IT ON TO THE RIGHT AUTHORITY / CONTROLLER . As it is the members are doing the job of inspectors by taking finding out the complaints with proof and posting them . more

Visakhapatnam : Don't assume that there are no complaints. Who are all the state controllers? If they resolve any issue or acknowledges the complaint with authority, readers will feel that somebody is listening to the complaints and others will be active with complaints for redress. Another thing is in this forum the readers don't know the complainer's location, to make note of the severity of the issue. I suggest instead of mentioning the complainers distance in miles away, the location may be mentioned as well for good understanding, with all these lacunae how could this site be bettered? more
