States diluting RERA: Inputs on Nexus
The model RERA act rolled out by the Central Government is being diluted by State Governments. Atleast 10 states have diluted RERA and this will lead to the act working against the buyers.
With this post we want to seek any inputs you may have where builder and real estate developers are driving the dilution of RERA in nexus with politicians and bureaucrats in the State Governments.

We are all victims of Apartment buyers as there is no law to punish the builders who cheats all of us & continue to do so. RERA must be implemented without any dilution. All citizens should sign the petition & help sharing the message. more

Real estate is part of all political leaders & as such they all see that Rera is diluted to benefit them. We have to approach only court & appeal to implement Rera without dilution. Very big social awareness campaign should be taken jointly with Apartment Federation, Residents Welfare Association's, Ngo's etc which helps putting the pressure on Govt. more

Its unfortunate that the state governments do not hesitate to dilute the laws framed by the union government by misusing the powers vested in them in the name of Federal Structure to achieve their political mileage and agenda even by compromising with the interests of the common man. The state governments dare to take such steps taking undue advantage of our ignorance towards self interests and rights and also because of our blind support for a particular party and its leaders completely ignoring their misdeeds and nepotism as well as selfishness. more

Indian politicians in power are most corrupt and criminal elements on this earth.They will sell their wives,daughters,and mother for a song. Dilution of RERA act by various state is done in order to extract extra pound of flesh of buyers by Political leadership of these states at the whim and fencies of builder community. more

Union Government has to study the RERA acts implemented by States and determine the dilution, if any, and obtain the reasons. If the changes made are realistic and do not go against the buyers, then Union Government should make amendments in the centre's act..... else, there should be a mechanism through which Central government to ask for the reasons of dilutions..... more
