With this post, we would like to seek issues you may have faced at Nizamuddin and Old Delhi Railway Stations. Kindly list those and if you have anything additional for New Delhi, you are welcome to list that as well.

We look forward to your inputs! more

There has be multiple growth of passengers at Delhi Cantt Station. Station has access only on Catt side. There is NO access on Nangal Raya / Maya Puri side. It needs attention before encroachment makes it difficult to improve. more
Getting out of new delhi railway station and nizamuddin station. One can enjoy the foul smee, dirty and urine smell around. This is a insult to our country as people specially foreigners can understand the position in capital of India. If a small city like Pallakad Kerala or Mysore Junction can have a good railway station with attractive look and cleanliness, then why cant Delhi and Nzm The officials sitting in DRM and Baroda house should be made responsible and be punished severely .It can not be possible as their colleges sitting upto rly board support them.  Seems Modi was right announcing the posting of IAS officers in railway board. Today it is shame on our country that country,s capital statiosn are fully dirty and encroached. People can not even walk out of the station campus easily.   On Friday, 11 September 2015 5:41 PM, Ministry Of Railways wrote: more
Beasides comments posted already: Waiting Hall for AC &Non AC passengers is too small, atleast three times it should be made into. Number of benches/chairs on the platform is too less. Fans located do not match seating locations, in waiting halls as well as platforms. Long distance trains should be from first platform from either side of station Departing and arrival platform should be mentioned on the tickets as passengers need this info. Escalators and Ramps should be provided. Battery cars to be made available on the entrance itself for needy, handycapped, elderly persons more
Nizauddin stn. Eastern side. This is really like a bazaar scene shown in Western films. The UP and Haryana bases really make life miserable for both road and railway passenger. Also the parking contractor is a bandit. While first slab of parking is Rs 5 he cleverly tears the ticket in such a way that the amount is not visible to you and demands Rs15 ! When I demanded full piece of ticket snatched one from him (he cleverly puts a rubber band on the bunch so that the amount on the left stays with him ) and refused to pay Rs 15 he quietly let me go without payment lest other people notice my argument.BUT this goes on daily under the nose of police and rly officials.Who will put a stop to this banditry? more
stations in Delhi-- I have visited 3 major stations--NDLS, DLI and NZM, so can comment for them only. 1. New Delhi Station -- no escalators or ramps for practically any platform in any of the 3 major stations. --vendors charge, irrespective of MRP, to closest higher Re 10/- or may be Re5/- , except for the IRCTC outlets who charge correctly. -- cumsum food stalls serve tepid tea at exorbitant rates in paper cups which almost fold and double up in the middle if you are very careful. --waiting are for sleeper class on Ajmeri gate side used to be good. Now, dilapidated. 2. DLI ( Delhi MAin / Old delhi) Station --Public display system at NDLS is good but very very poor at any platform of Delhi main. --Stairs at Delhi main for all platforms are very narrow and steep. No ramps or escalators -- platform numbering is very confusing. Which platform is 11 or which is 12 or 13 ? -- Auto rickshaws and taxi wallahs always have a field day in fleecing passengers #. NZM Station ( Hazrat NiZamuddin). -- Accessibility is BIG ISSUE. Particularly on the ring road side, there is terrible over crowding and mix up of incoming and outgoing traffic. No traffic police or any other regulation -- NO METRO CONNECTIVITY, so taxi and auto charge to their liking. -- Again no ramp or escalators for any platform -- Poor vendor service except platform 1 which receives no major train but has all offices LAstly, ther is no effort by railways to connect , say on an hrly basis between 4 Delhi stations viz. NDLS, DLI, NZM and DEE. more
