step forward

Sounds great that the ministry of consumer affairs has taken a step forward. I am a consumer and have filed a case in the state consumer forum against my builder for the delay in construction and deficient service. It's has been nearly two years and the court had time only four times for my case. Getting adjourned four times. Advancing the date by three months every time. This is a classic case of apathy towards consumers. The builder doesn't attend the hearing and it gets adjourned for three months. There is no pressure on him to attend the hearing even. Who is the loser? A senior citizen like me losing out waiting many years for justice. Unless the consumer cases are resolved quickly it has no meaning. Even a civil suit would have been resolved in a similar time frame. What about people who get cheated by smaller sellers for petty sums like Rs 500/- etc, do we make them fight for three to four years to get their Rs 500/-? The ministry has to seriously brainstorm on this if the ministry seriously believes in helping the consumers. more

Rightly said Mr.Subramanya Krishnamurthy, consumer cases should be quickly resolved and it must have some max time period set to resolve the case. Max period should be 3 months or so. Is there any other way to spread these kind of issues among people and make them aware? Please don't suggest facebook.. I dont think people take facebook seriously. more
There is the recurrent breakdown of my BSNL landline, as a result I am not able to use my internet or other Apps. Internet is my lifeline as a researcher and scholar. The line-man becomes the most important connection in the process, and there is no use calling him becomes he does not pick up calls. The administrators simply pass on the buck to him. For instance, my telephone line is in-operational from 22nd December till this morning, telephone 0824-2483732. How does one instill a sense of work-ethics and public responsibility? more
I don't think there is anyone to check the misuse of authority by bank officials. Having saving account with Axis Bank and maintaining reasonable balance but still some amount is being debited to the account in the name of minimum balance. When brought to the manager notice he just informed that there is some error in the system and reversed Rs.3213- whereas the detail submitted for the amount debited was much more. Inspite of several letter including copy to senior level nothing has been done but the said amount has again been debited to the account this month. will someone take action against AXIS BANK Thanks S. Still Govt departments/undertakings are charging transaction fees/Service tax on card transactions. Yesterday I booked gas refill on HP gas website. On cost of Rs 602.50, I was charged Rs 5.24 as transaction charges and Rs 0.79 as Service tax. more
Action need to be taken against the judges whi grant unnecessary adjournments and should be removed from the job more
