the doctor community is one which is strongly protected by successive governments..have you read of any doctor having been raided by the income tax deptt..though there are vast nos. of doctors who collect fees only in cash,even now.they are running scott free and there are many of them who own tons of property using the black money they have generated and continue to generate..this is a mystery... more

Not only Doctor there are many professions left from such activities like BABA JEE, MANDIR TRUST, POLITICS and SPORTS MAN etc. They all make huge money and have no interest for social balance and nation building and any development rather own development..... more  
In bank fraud case,customer suffers much and become victimised..,because bank doesn't want to be defamed,,,how ever the customer loses a great amount of money after transaction. more  
We always try to show fingur at others.Our entire tax collection system is biased and governed by political masters.Unless this is corrected nothing can improve. more  
If all professionals of the country pay income tax honestly, the rates of the tax could be drastically cut down. Its strange that none of the governments evinced interests to touch these groups of people of our society. more  
I do not know where you got the information that IT does not raid doctors. My parents are doctors and I myself am one. All 3 of us have been regular IT assessees. I have paid IT since attaining 18 years of age. My parents were raided immediately after opening our nursing home. Apollo Hospital, Chennai doctors are raided every 2 years on a regular basis. Follow the news regularly and you will know. The problem is that media is not very much bothered about what happens to doctors unless they go on strike. As far as your contentions go, they are absolutely right in that many doctors do not give receipts, collect cash and do not pay IT. The government has to do something about it. I agree with it. There is no excuse for the government in these days to be negligent about it with all the technology available. more
