Street side lemon water/sugar cane juice and ice

I didnt know localcircles had a food circle. Just so people across India know in mumbai 77% of nimbu/lemon water stalls - streetside were found to be unhygenic - ecoli i.e dirty water with also possibly faecal matter. Also 90% of the ice used road side was unhygenic.

I am sure rest of India is also in ball park. Dont indulge in this and Tell your colleagues staff same thing. No point having a 10 rs nimbu pani and 1000 rs in doctor fee plus meds plus loss of income due to illness. more

Due to vote bank politics, all political parties support such vendors. It is not just juices but all other eatables are prepared and served in the open on the road side in very unhygienic conditions. The persons who cook and serve are also very dirty. Even in certain cities, such vendors have been issued licences as they form a large vote bank. Even the parking places have been occupied by such vendors. No Civic Body/Health/Police officials can remove them. Rather they get HAFTA VASULI from them. There is urgent need to remove vendors and allow preparation/sale of all eatables at the approved places in every city. more
If only we, the citizens of India put a price on our lives, our health and our safety, we would have reached a higher level of development. Unfortunately our attitudes dictate how we are treated. more
It is a fact that street side vendors are found to be un-hygenic, but what the health Inspectors are doing ??? more
The ice used for these street drinks are not hygienic as they are made from some water in the ice making plants. The water used in not good to drink and hence the ice will not be good for humans. However these ice are used to preserve food , vegetables, fish etc. by the vendors. So the street cool drink vendors must insist on good drinking water ice for their use, more
The same can be higenically made with little cost which can be borne by Railways or municipalities with little modern appliances like water plants with over head tanks and dispensers. The preparations by hand touch should be avoided. The present disco drink dispensers or soda dispensers are good examples. more
