Stubble is the root cause locking Delhi will do nothing

The cumulative count of stubble burning was 57,263 between November 1 and November 13 as per the NASA data. The number of fire incidents exceeded 75,225 since October 1, this year. Locking Delhi wont do much. Everyone please vote on this and share with hundreds of other sane minds so we dont end up with another lockdown

Those who talk so much about Stubble burning..... Please note that burning stubble by farmers is continuing since ever. Even in 1945-1955, and then from 1957 - 1962, when I lived in Delhi, stubble burning was the norm, BUT THERE WAS NO POLLUTION PROBLEM...... WHY? What is unique in stubble burning now? more
Even the dusty roads and unfinished construction work undertaken by PWD/MCD/Delhi Gov. are also a major cause of pollution. At this time of the year tiny water vapours keep floating in the air and the dust blown by the movement of vehicles stick of theses water vapours to form smog and hence does not settle down. I do not know where all vacuum cleaners have disappeared and also there is no point to install water cannon at one place. it should be mounted on trucks or vans and should keep on moving. more
Everyone wants to tell this to the Central Government and the public, but no one has any suggestion on how to overcome the problem. No one has the guts to even talk about the nuisance being created by so-called farmers and those responsible for stubble burning. A typically INDIAN attitude. more
Times of India dated 14-11-2021 (Delhi Edition) has carried an interesting interview given by Mr. Vidya Mohan, a 30 years old researcher. According to him stubble burning is not restricted to North India alone, it is a wide spread problem. Interestingly he has invented a portable machine which can convert crop residue into fuel and fertilizer. His suggestions are practical and needs to be tried and encouraged by the authorities concerned to solve the problem. more
THE MAIN CAUSE OF PARTICULATE POLLUTION IS THE DUST THAT IS PICKED UP BY EVERY VEHICLE MOVING IN THE CITY NO ROAD WORK IS EVER COMPLETED AND THE DUST BOWLS IN ALL ROADS CAUSES THIS POLLUTIN ALL TO OFTEN CIVIC BODIES LIKE TO PUT THE BLAME ELSEWHERE more
