STUDENT POLITICIANS IN WRONG PATH
By painting such students as path breakers and giving them space in the media, section of media are doing great disservice to the overall progress of student community, universities and national integrity.
While a very large section of students want to pursue studies, acquire knowledge and build lofty positions for themselves in the life ahead ,politician students and self centred and short sighted politicians are trying to spread poison in the country’s psyche by spreading an impression that the entire student community is in revolt. This is not the case at all.
A microscopic section of student community, supported by section of media and short sighted and self centred politicians are destroying the progressive academic climate , that will have disastrous consequences for the larger interest of the country and the future of the fibre and fabric of India.
What is sad is that millions of Indians in various walks of life who understand the negative and self destructive atmosphere that is being spread in the educational centres are concerned about it and feel helpless and frustrated.
Government of India should have the courage and conviction to stand by the cause of quality university education, progressive climate in the university campus and should take all necessary steps to put down the motivated politician students, who join and remain in the universities not to study and acquire knowledge but to build their political career with the aid of section of media and short sighted and self centred politicians.
There is lot of scope for intellectual discussions in the universities on various subjects and such discussions and deliberations do take place. But, spreading casteist ideas and speaking in favour of those involved in anti national activities cannot be part of acceptable activity in Universities.
Certainly, section of media and politicians , who want to fish in troubled water , are driving India to a slippery path by abetting some politician students .
