Study the attached price rise and lower taxes

How prices of essentials have risen in last 10 years. Middle class is badly hit because earnings have not grown in this
proportion.

Middle class needs to thrive in India so that the economy thrives. The true economic growth is when the most part of the society grows and it converts into virtuous cycle.

Reducing taxes on middle class, controlling inflation to the level of 4-5%, and real GDP growth of 7%+ are three important ingredients for moving towards healthy economic growth and prosperous society. more

Govt is giving a lot of support to Kisan, and their demands are increasing, naturally the prices of Vegetables are going to rise. A lot of food is perished because we do not have proper storage including cold storage facilities in India. more
If the govt increases prices of food grains every year or half yearly, how the pri ces will come down. Dollar a d precious metals are at the peak. Freebies and cost of governance is increasing every month. How the govt can reduce taxes ? Still political parties are offering freebies n OPS almost daily. more
I do not know about 2013 rates but know that prices for all the basic necessities of common man has increased and inflation is high and interest rates are lower and for sr citizens like me it is hurting us a lot and with lot of concessions for travel in trains also removed in the name of covid and which after covid is over did not get introduced.for babus whom it does not effect do not care for sr citizens and even FM also acts like that and does not care and only thinks how to make life miserable for us more
I do not know from where the rates for 2013 were computed. For example, in 2013, rice was 50 rs per kg in Chennai and now 60. Toor dal price went through the roof from about 80 to 160 when the UPA govt allowed forward trading. As Sri Harpal Singh says, vegetable prices are prone to seasonal fluctuation. Even then, Potato was never less than 25 Rs per kg in Chennai in the last 15 years. Further, the salaries for workers and for domestics has increased by more than 50-75% in the last 15 years. Unfortunately, many posts seem to be politically motivated nowadays. more
The data is debatable. In India, where a large portion of the population is dependent on a single income source, the wage-to-expense ratio has worsened, leading to an increasing sense of financial insecurity among the middle class. more
