Sudden demand of Annual Charges by school

Hi my son is studying in 12th standard in one of the prominent school in East Delhi. Today his class teacher called and asked us to pay the Annual Charges for this academic year (Approx 20K). When asked about the notification, she told that this has recently been decided by school management to take annual charges from everyone.

Anyone in the circle came across such a situation? more

Dear Learned Readers.......You are kindly aware that education system in India is no longer a noble profession. It has become a business as result they will lot of branches of many schools in India. Moreover its non-bargaining department. None of the parents wants to spoil the career of their child and forced the pay what ever is demanded by the school authorities. Govt. doesn't have time or such complaints rather School authorities have to pay for elections as donations and take back tax rebate. more
I also got such message from school as my kid admission is due as sibling. They told me to submit 60k in cash without any deposit receipt to reserve your child seat. more
The intrinsic message is clear for society, as always. On one side there is role of tax payers' money for running schools, hospitals etc.while on the other side there are business houses. Decide how much money is in your pocket for covering small distance thru DTC bus by spending 5 rupees or by a BMW car. Govt has no control on sale of BMW cars but can control DTC buses even on loss.Likewise there is little control of Govt on private schools and full control on Govt schools. For improving standards a parent teacher meeting in Govt schools is like share holders meeting of companies to bring them at par with private schools. There should be compulsory quorum of 25% parents for every monthly meeting.Think about my observation and comment frankly. more
School managements are insane and judicial system is the biggest culprit bcz judges are bribed by school lobbies for getting any judgement in their favour. When everyone knows public schools in Delhi or any other cities are making tons of money. I missed out to transfer my daughter to Govt school in Delhi hence I have face the4penalty for my mistake. No, so far we have not received any message from authority/Management even not inform d by DOT/Delhi Govt as well but from my end they have to remove annual charges and development charges for this 2021 year too because still economy is dien and peoples are loosing their jobs and businesses are down and also few employees are getting their salaries after deduction of 55-65% so they all have to remove all extra charges. Yes, they have to think on their monthly fees which is still on higher side. regards more
