sudden spurt in the cancer cases
Mala seems to be right here. There is sudden spurt in the cancer cases as compared to last 10 years. My family is one of the sufferer of it. My elder brother died last year out of cancer. He too was loving to eat mangoes.
At least two cancer cases have been reported from my society in last one month. I know Mango may not be the only cause but this is an example to open the eyes of the FSSAI and other govt enforcement agencies.
I suggest the FSSAI & other enforcement agencies to raid the Mandies and sieze all fruits & vegetables found adulterated with such chemicals and impose heavy fines on such dealers.
Time to wake up for all before we all are in the grip of deadly disease like cancer. more

Rampant use of insecticides/pesticides cannot be ruled out. It is reported that the farmers are applying or are being motivated to apply such deadly chemicals (many of which are banned in western countries) at a very high dose - 4 times to 6 times to the fields. It has also been observed that highest no. of cancer patients are Punjab farmers. Train No. 339 (Passenger from Bhatinda to Bikaner) leaving Bhatinda at 21:25 and arriving Bikaner next morning at 06:00 Hrs. has been nicknamed as "CANCER TRAIN', since a good number passengers travelling in this train are cancer patients and their escorts, going for treatment at one of the 2 hospitals, specialising cancer treatments. more

Ultimately we, the Indians, are to meet with such dreadful fate as a price for our administration being lethargic, prejudiced, deaf and corrupt. Otherwise why the governments' law enforcing agencies are awfully failed to initiate stringent action against those engaged in food adulteration (often in open) only to convert the country into a land of epidemic! more
