Suggest action for MCD's unjustified challan !
On evening of 23rd Dec, 2015 MCD impounded my car from roadside near Kamla Nagar market. First I thought my car was stolen as another car was parked in place of my car when I came back from market, so I immedietely complained about it to police number 100. After for an hour I came to know that vehicle has been impounded by MCD. I rushed for MCD office and reached there by 6 p.m or so.
I came to know that vehicle was impounded for illegal parking and heavy fine of Rs 6150 was imposed.
My questions and agitation is towards their way of dealing the issue which will be cleared by following points:
1) I parked my vehicle in place of another vehicle which moved out of that place when I reached the spot and after impounding of my vehicle another vehicle was present at same place. (In the attached picture you will see how the board says Parking technically and in disguise I came to know later it said 'No Parking')
So its complete mockery of the system.
Rules should be equal for everyone so fine everyone not just one or two because then its injustice.
2) Atleast give some indication at the spot that you have impounded the vehicle so that I can directly contact MCD, rather than investigating and bringing in picture another department for enquiring and then knowing about it.
This lead to undesirable inconvenience/stress to me and also added unwanted workload to another department.
3) The whole exercise of MCD's creating no parking zone and then in reality when you check the place and see that hundred of vehicles are parked at that place just shows that how ineffective the department is and on top of that their impounding van comes makes a lottery draw and takes just 3-5 vehicles out of 500 or so. Just shows that they are doing their work to fill some records, they are just fulfilling a days liability they don't care about real solution of problem. Come on! this is 2015 you can fine all the vehicles and show that what 'No Parking Zone' really means and make clear indication first that which zone is actually 'No parking' don't just put hidden signboards which only you can understand.
I ask from the members here to suggest the way so
that some stronger authority can ask these questions from them and take action against there ineffective and injustifiable methods of working which is creating great distress and nuisance for the common public.
