Suggest for better service to higher class senior citizen passengers

Dear Sirs, No need to say, whenever we thought of moveing from one place to another, The Railway is the first choice. My suggestions for make travel much comfortable for higer class, especially, senior citizen passengers. Following assistance is desired while traveling in the higher classes. These amenities should be provided, which should be non-returnable 1. Soft Hand towel, printed with national slogan & IR, 2. Small shop cake, 3. One litre water bottle, 4. Small perfume bottle obviously, money may be charged from the passenger. We know that railway keeps sufficient staff for the cleaning of coaches, and lavoratory, but just lack of supervision, their performance is not discernible. The first AC attendants need training to attend the bell, put the lay down the bed roll, help in procuring the amenities from stations, and above all they should help elders to aboard & leave the coach. In most of the cases, attendants behave as if we, while aboard are on his mercy, tarnishing the image of Indian Rail Seva. It is simply, lack of supervision. My suggestions are about the services aspected by higher class passengers, especially, by senior citizens. These amenities should be non returnable 1. Small perfume bottle obviously, money may be charged from the passenger. now we are having long, high speed, and haltage are at high distance and for a few minutes, under this circumstances, it is difficult even for young once to procure water and enables (however for food IRCTC has launched excellent service), but other amenities, we request that higer class TTE, keep extra water bottles, and essential medical kit, with medicines for headache, stomach pain, toothache, diarrhoea & dysentery, nausea, vomiting, antipyretic (for fever), cotton, bandages, betadine, thermometer, & electrolyte tablets, of course this service will chargeable; for all this material & its use, TTE should be rendered short exposure during their refresher courses. railway keeps sufficient staff for the cleaning of coaches, and fresh-room, but just lack of supervision, their performance is not discernible. The first AC attendants need training to attend the bell, lay down the bed roll, help in procuring the amenities from stations, attendants of all higher classes should not collected in one place, and don't talk loudly, it causes, disterbance to the passengers, all and above they should help elders to board & leave the coach. In most of the cases, they behave as if we are aboard, on his mercy, tarnishing the image of Indian Rail Seva. It is simply, lack of supervision. more

some time in the night ac become very cool and aged people feel very cool and attenders are not available to adjust the ac so it is better to watch the temparature and to adjust accordingly more

In addition, at New Delhi Rly station, there is a need of VISIBLE Railway Helpline at the location where passengers get down from cab so that they can get the coolie at prescribed rates. As soon as we get down from cab the coolies surround us (senior citizens). For 2 middle size soft luggage and 2 small bags they ask Rs 500-600 to take from Ajmeri gate side to platform 11/10.... Coolies feel that we are helpless so demand at their will. They don't allow us to move... and create chaos. To our stations are not fit for senior citizens..... from the point of alighting from cab and up to the settling themselves in the compartment and vice versa.....To day senior citizen couples travel quite a lot but they are compelled to face the hassles at all points.... more  
The writer is right and the suggestions are laudable. It is correct step to provide the Soft hand towel; railway may buy from handloom sector or Khadi producers to promote village industries. All these steps are improving the services of the Railway. more  
I support mr. vaitheeswaran's comment. Mr. Harish Bohra, I wonder how someone can say IRCTC food is excellent despite that high amount they are charging us. And forget about helping passengers at all. What could you expect from the staff that begs for ₹20-50 on the name of 'seva' after that much amount paid by us on premium trains. more
