Suggest that the entry to the platform be only for bonafide passengers. Ticket should be coded and that should be used for opening the gate just as used in Metros. Also entry to the compartment should be by scanning the ticket so that there is total transparency in knowing which seats were not used up. This should be displayed on a display situated at some points within the train. Even entry to the toilets should be by scanning the ticket so that there is a trail of who used the toilet last, left it dirty and be penalised accordingly. Ideas may seem far fetched but this is possible and it will increase transparency. more

Everyone seems to forget that in last 50 yrs Railways has grown tremendously with at least 100 trains being added every year,8-9 coaches per train increasing to 24 coaches to meet the demand, remote stations being linked directly so larger no. of people prefer to take a train ,it all adds up to crowded stations.Waiting room capacities have not kept pace with the traffic and are overcrowded. These are to be tackled first.Even in NDLS taxi drivers freely move in PFs to haggle with passengers.Urchins begging to carry your baggage.and destitutes making a permanent stay on PFs, these are some problems to be tackled more

Railway employees are not doing their current role and responsibilities.Let us do something that they start doing their present duties and then we should give more suggestions. The big question is "Is railway prepared to do something" ? more
