Suggestion for a new startup

I am in the process of creating a freelancer website(similar to Guru.com), that's around 90% complete. I will make the site live in mid of Feb. I am not from any reputed institute and heard that for getting investment, this is one of the important factor. If it is true, then would like to have a person from reputed institute such as IIT/IIM to work with me as a co-founder.

Along with this, I would like to have some suggestions that what should be my next step to make this successful. The worst part is now I don't have sufficient money to invest.
