May I suggest that just like this life saving community on Blood and the health circles you have, circles should be considered on Cancer and Organ Donation. Other members may please give their thought and ideas. more

Organ Donation: Continuing on the above subject. Organ Donation will also include Transplant. Like Kidney transpalnt, Liver Transplant. Govt. have now made strict rules and regulations which will have to be Followed. Transplant from Brain Dead and the formalities to be followed etc. more

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital invites organ donors .My family & I are organ donor memebers of this hospital. So does AIIMS. I don't know who to contact but I'm sure it won't be difficult to find out. more

Great Suggestion by Narayan Chopra. May I suugest that Cancer could be a Separate Circle. Because Cancer of various parts of the Body needs discussion at length. For Example Pancreas, Lungs, Breast, Esophagus, Colon, Bladder, Prostrate, Skin, Bones & Joints etc. Organ Donation can be Clubbed together with Body Donation. I know of so many who want to Donate their Body, but some times after they have gone their near and dear ones change their mind. Should'nt the WILL of the deceased person be honoured. Organs of the deceased person taken out in time can be of value to a Living human Being. more

Dear All: Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions. They keep LocalCircles going! Typically for circles with a Social Cause, we partner with an anchor body who can play the role of a Subject Matter Expert. For example: Rotary Blood Bank in the case of Blood Circle. Very soon, we hope to have a circle on Cancer Support with a similar anchor member and will announce this circle soon. On the Organ Donation front, we would like to follow a similar approach. If anyone is associated with a foundation/hospital that is engaged in Organ Donation, please advise and we would be happy to invite them and build the circle.
