Suggestions

Dear Sir,

I would like to provide some suggestions which are of very useful importance to Passengers-

1) The berths near the doors of AC2 coaches are always disturbed. The curtains always get pushed up whenever other people crosses it, because of no distance between the birth and door.. Please modify the coaches a little better so that adjacent birth passengers also feel comfortable.

2) Booking of Railway Platform tickets through online/sms as E-Railway Tickets.

3) Announcement of approaching station in every coach especially in mail/express trains just as it is done in Shatabdi.

4) Reservation of children/half ticket through irctc website.

5) Ebook-version of all Railway Time-tables and Trains at a Glance.(Hindi as well as in Engish)

6) Digital Neon Boards of station names on both sides of platforms.. Currently the yellow signboard is invisible during night hours and passengers are unaware of the station because of darkness.

24 hour interactive RailTV to be launched for arrival/departures/pnr/faqs/community rail programmes etc.

Extending more on this-

1) Announcements speakers more loud and clearer with good accent people. If required outsource this to a reputed call center.
2) Monthly rail magazine to get the government's vision, highlights of the month, new schemes, proposals etc
3) Hygiene Penalty. If found guilty adequate punishment should be there. Outsource this also if required.
4) Availability of coolies during odd night hours. In this 24x7 environment this is a must. Night charges applicable.

I hope this might prove useful also apart from whatever you and the department is doing in terms of safety and developmental procedures.

I believe we have the full capacity to turn down the picture of railways and come out with flying colors.

Thank you. more

WHILE YOU TRAVEL IN RAJDHANI EXPRESS THE UPPER BERTH NUMBER THREE AND THE LAST UPPER BERTH NUMBER 70 IN AC 3 TIER COACHES THE EXIT DOOR OPENS EXACTLY HITTING THE IRON LADDER FOR SUPPORT TO CLIMB AND GET DOWN. ONLY YOUNG AGE PEOPLE WHO ARE ABLE TO CLIMB EQUAL TO CIRCUS TRAINED CAN COPE UP. please change the model of the new coaches in prestigious trains and make travelling a pleasant experience. more
This is not only the case with 2AC compartments, it is the case with all compartments where passengers having seats/berths near the door are inconvenienced. I feel the compartment needs to be designed differently to take care of this idea. We are talking about this uncomfortness, but think of the inconvenience of RAC passengers including the passenger having confirmed side upper birth, who is one among 3 passengers to share the seat after paying full fare. So RAC system must go. Secondly toilets need to be cleaned at the regular intervals which is not taking place currently with the exception of AC compartments and that too in selected trains and selected stations. of course passengers also must cooperate and maintain them neatly. More railway police to move around in the train during the journey for the safety of the passengers. There must be options to book tickets in the railway website similar to to the facilities available at the PRS counters. It is a good suggestion for public address system inside all the compartment about the incoming stations. On priority, all single track sectors need to be made into double tracks which will reduce the travel time and thus railways can save on fuel and other related issues. more
