Summe Foods to stay cool

1. Lemons: Don't make lemonade only when life gives you lemons. Increase the intake of lemons on hot sunny days as lemon is a good source of vitamin C, calcium and magnesium. It helps in keeping your liver clean and assists in digestion. Lemon beverages or salads are not only a treat to our taste buds; they are also the cheapest medium to improve our overall health.

2. Yogurt: It is this time of year when you crave for scrumptious food but all you end up having is loads of water and cool beverages. A glass of buttermilk can be a pleasant addition to your list of beverages. It's a blessing for a dehydrated body. This kid of milk is high on calcium, vitamins, proteins and magnesium.

3. Nuts and dry fruits: These little ones are a storehouse of immense energy. Apart from being relishing, they keep your heart healthy. But keep a check on the intake of dry fruits. Handful of them in the morning is enough to keep you going for an entire day.

4. Cucumber: One cannot miss out the refreshing cucumber from a salad bowl during a sun-baked summer. This low calorie vegetable has been serving mankind from ages. 95% of water in the vegetable gives a tough fight to our body's water scarcity and helps in flushing out harmful toxins.

5. Bananas: You may not avoid going out on a sunny day but you can help your body stay hydrated and energized by including bananas in your diet chart. As you tend to eat less during the hotter months, glucose in bananas makes sure that your body retains energy for a longer duration. You don't have to part with the glowing look of your skin if you include this super food in your diet. more
