The elected representatives think they are doing some favor in development of their voters by spending the money given by the government for the development. But the voters are made to believe that it is a favor given to th votes. How can one expect that MLAs and MPs change the belief of their voters on this issue and unless there is a change in the mind set of th voters that it is their right to get th development of their place. If there is a planning body for each constituency which prepares the plan for development and that development program is taken up by the elected representatives it will give what development is programmed and what is done in the field. Further, the local people should elect the planning body other than the politicians. The planning body should be from college students, senior citizens, Teachers in that area and the plan should be circulated to the people of that area, budget and time frame so that the public will know what will happen to th funds allocated to the elected representatives and accountability can also be questioned. In the past seventy years slowly the elected representatives have no accountability and voters think the elected people are doing some favor and they can not have any say in planning and development. more
We all talk out the agitation like Jallikattu where the college students took lead. Here we the seniors and middle aged gents should take the lead in each constituency and gherao the MLAs for their performance and ask him if not satisfied to submit the resignation on the spot. This is how we can create accountability and give a death bed to corruption. more
It can be given. But what effect will it have, unless a peaceful agitation similar to Jallikattu is taking place. Further there is one more survey is conducted by local poll, which you may be aware. Every MLA of the Zone to declare the functions, projects, environment cleanliness, Water supply, Ration supplies, domestic power availability, pedestrian walk space, sewage connections, Road maintanance and all linked issues in writing. This should be made available and public can vouch safe on it. more
The wide publicity of the results and the general Public should ask their MLA to come to the constituency and give satisfactory answers for their shaming the will of the general public for earning their own wealth by this misdeed. more
